April & May 2022: Monthly Wrap-Up

How is it already June?!!?!

This year feels like it has been going by so fast!!! Since I work in education, the past couple of months have been a little hectic as we get everything in order for the end of the school year. June will likely be just as busy, but then glorious, glorious July and August will be at hand. 🌞

Between my two jobs, I’ve been spending A LOT of time working! It isn’t the worst thing, since I actually really love what I do. Nevertheless, I am definitely looking forward to things slowing down a bit in the summertime, and the ability to fit a bit more reading into my schedule! (Don’t remind me of the fact I have to take my professional examination sometime in there as well… 🙈)

My parents will be coming to visit in a few weeks (they haven’t visited me in almost 5 years!), and then my partner and I are planning to get away for a couple days later in the summer to really relax and enjoy ourselves. There’s definitely a lot to look forward to! 💕

Books Read:

I was hit with this mystery/thriller binge in April, and it is still going strong in June. I’m not sure why! But I’ve been enjoying myself as I make my way through a backlist of titles I never got the chance to read before. Some are definitely better than others, but isn’t that always the case? My favorite reads of the month were definitely The Final Girls Support Group by Grady Hendrix and A History of Wild Places by Shae Ernshaw! ✨

Next Month’s TBR:

I’m on the blog tours for these upcoming releases, and super pumped to read them! 🤩
