OMG / I Know That Song Book Tag

Thank you to Luxe from Mind of Luxe for tagging me in this book tag! 💖

THE RULES: For each prompt provide a song and book that fit the description.

MY JAM: A song you still listen to no matter how many times you’ve heard it and a book that you’ll never get sick of.

I don’t know how many times I’ve read Pride and Prejudice or listen to Valerie by Amy Whinehouse, but I could never get sick of either of them. ❤️

THROWBACK: A song that reminds you of the cringiest time in your life and a book you read that you wouldn’t like if you read it now.

I mean, I think the only difference here is that I do still listen to The Pussycat Dolls… 😅😂

REPLAY: A recent song that you have on repeat and a recent favorite book.

I only read The Hate U Give a few weeks ago, but it’s already one of my all-time favorite books! Meanwhile, Stupid by Tate McRae has been playing on the radio non-stop recently, but I gotta admit I’ve been enjoying it!

GETS ME: A song that is literally you and a book that is you in book form.

The protagonist of Annie on My Mind is literally named Liza, and The Girl by City and Colour is one of my all-time favorite songs.

WUT: A weird song that you liked anyways and a unique book that stuck out to you for some reason.

I couldn’t think of a weird song, haha, so here’s a podcast I like instead.

LET’S GO: Pick your best pump up song and a book that inspires you.

This book, Jonathan Van Ness’s autobiography, is the most unexpected, absolute gem I’ve read this year – I really recommend it!

CHILL: Your best chill or relaxing song and a book you’d curl up with on a rainy day.

Love Yourself by Justin Bieber is such a guilty pleasure song for me, haha, but it’s just sooooo goooood!

ADDICTING: A guilty pleasure song and a light, trashy read you can’t help but love.

Remember that one year when everyone was obsessed with The Chainsmokers? LOL

Anyways, I can’t but love everything Sophie Kinsella writes, though I would never consider them very deep reads. (But, I’m a strong believer that not everything has to be “deep” – especially books! – to be worthwhile.)

NOSTALGIA: A throwback song you look back on fondly and a book you read and loved when you were young.

I LOVED The Princess Diaries when I was a preteen, those books were The Shit. Also Tongue Tied by Faber Drive has a special place in my heart. 💘

This was so much fun! I laughed a lot while making my selection, especially for THROWBACK and NOSTALGIA. 😝

I’d like to tag Shivi from Shiv Reads, Pamela from The Picky Bookworm and whoever else wants to participate! ☺️ But please don’t feel pressured to fill it out if you aren’t interested. (It’s all in good fun!)

Happy reading!
