November & December 2024: Monthly Wrap-Up
Happy New Year, dear readers! 🥳 It’s hard to believe, but it is officially the year 2025! I hope you all rang in the new year your preferred way, whether that was at a ruckus party or a quiet night in.
My wife and I had a quiet new year’s eve by ourselves. It’s the same thing we’ve done for the past few years, and I always appreciate it. It’s like having a fun sleepover! Except we’re married and it’s in our own home.
This is the first holiday season since COVID where I didn’t travel home for the holidays. (It’s also my first holiday season as a married woman!) And because of that it’s been the first quiet holiday season in, well… a long time. Not going to lie, while I missed seeing my family and hometown friends, it was really nice to just rest and relax during this typically busy time of year. I feel very refreshed for the year ahead!
I read so many great books this past year. I am excited to say that I managed to almost double my reading goal and finish a total of 75 books in 2024! While there are always some books I enjoy more than others, I always finish the year, see my final tally, and feel grateful that one random day during COVID while my wife was away dog sitting that I decided to start this blog. Before then, I had been slowly easing myself back into reading after years of reading very little, but after creating this blog I really dived headfirst back into this hobby of mine. And it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
