1. What do you like about buying new books?

It’s gotta be ~That New Book Smell~ 😍

Ok, but honestly? Buying books is such a treat for me. I don’t do it very often just because of my financial circumstances and the lifestyle I lived up until this past year which was very transient… So the act of walking into a book store, seeing all the books that are available, picking one out with a gorgeous cover and actually getting to take it home has always held a lot of excitement for me. I love ALL aspects of it. (But especially that smell!) ❤️

2. How often do you buy new books?

Very rarely. Maybe once or twice a year?

3. Bookshops or online book shopping: which do you prefer?

Oh, in person bookshops. Definitely. I love looking through everything available (and feeling up all the covers, haha). I don’t really purchase books unless they’re physical copies, and preferably hardcovers at that. (I borrow a lot of digital copies from the library though, but I only really buy books I “collect.”)

4. Do you have a favorite bookshop?

I don’t unfortunately because I feel really guilty going into them if I’m not planning on buying anything.

5. Do you pre-order books?

I wish! I think the last book I pre-ordered was Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows… and that was a long time ago. 😂 I remember waiting on my front porch with my dad for the postal worker to drive up with it on its release day.

6. Do you have a monthly buying limit?

LMAOOOO, no. But I would love to be the type of person who does.

7. How big is your wish list?

My wish list is really just my TBR, haha, so very long. 😂

8. Which three books from your wish list do you wish to own right now?

The Water Dancer because I’ve been meaning to read it for a while now; a hardcover copy of The Handmaid’s Tale, because it’s impossible to find for some reason; and the entirety of The Witcher series (besides The Last Wish) – but only once the books finally get new, updated covers that aren’t video game images thanks to the Netflix series release.

Ok, that last one is actually like seven books… 🙈 But in my defense, I know I’m going to have to play the long game to get those editions. 😅
